    According to a study by the European Commission, less than 10 per cent of EU citizens use their mobile phone abroad in the same way they do at home. A quarter switch their phone off on landing in a foreign country and just under half (47 per cent) refuse to use mobile communications during their trip. It’s no exaggeration to say that – for the mobile channel at least – roaming fees have created a ‘mobile black hole’ that travellers disappear into as their plane hits the runway.

    Since its acquisition by Facebook for $2bn in March, there has been much speculation and debate around the Oculus Rift. Previously well known to those in development and design as the hugely successful kickstarter project, (initially funded in 2012 for over $2m from a $250,000 goal), the question now being asked is how can this really be used to create brand experiences?
